Just thought I would pop in and say "hello."

I am in the process of remodeling and moving all at one time, so it's been crazy around my place for about a month now. I hate that I haven't been writing like I want to, but other things need to be done at the moment.

I promise to be back and blogging more regularly in a few weeks. Until then... Keep on keeping on!

Life's a garden. Dig it.

Love is a Verb

No. I'm not dead. I'm still here. But, who knows for how long!?

I've been a busy little bee lately. Trying to get some stuff done to the house and's time consuming! Lots of cleaning. Lots of painting. Lots of complete overhauls. But, it's coming along nicely and I am very happy with our progress and the time I have to spend with amazing people in my life.

Talking to a friend of mine today, we came across the thought: If people would mind their business, and take care of what is going on in their life..they wouldn't have to think of ways to keep people in their life happy! What happens when we lose people? What is some of the first things that come into our mind?

..I should have... I wish I would have... I should have told them...

Why do we wait until time is GONE to make our decisions to actively love someone? I'm not talking just hugs and kisses and "I love you"s. I'm talking about a conscious effort to live and breathe love for someone. I'm not talking about going all "it rubs the lotion on the skin"... I'm talking about maintaining a constant line of communication with that person; the key being... Positive Reinforcement. I capitalized those two words because I wanted emphasis on them.

Remember when I asked you to keep a log of positive days and negative days? ...It's been a few weeks. What did you come up with? How many times did you actually let someone know that you had a wonderful day, just because you were able to live it?

Sometimes, the ones we love get just as much gratification of knowing that we are happy; as we do, actually BEING happy! It's a matter of communication. Just taking the time to tell that person a random thought. You know, it may not register to them for a while.. but it means a lot to know that you just took a moment to acknowledge them.

Don't Stop! What does it take, two seconds to write a sappy love note and leave it so they will find it? How many times do you go into a convienience store?.. Do you get you something? .. Do you get them something because you just thought about it? A friend of mine, one time called these little things: Sprinkles. The things in life that you don't have to have... but they just make life that much sweeter when you do. I want to be a sprinkle magnet. How 'bout you? I like sprinkles.
Sprinkles are gooooood.

Thinking a little today. Wondering if there is an ultimate answer to any of the random, thwarted questions in life. Are we even supposed to know the answers?

I know that in situations in life, certain criteria must be met in order to complete a formulated plan. In those cases, answers may or may not be reached. In those cases, the answer comes as you embark on the journey that will ensue once you've made your decision. In this case? Things SUCK. In these cases, I've found that you must always go with your first instinct. It may not be the most logical choice.. or the easiest. But, first instincts are almost always right (unless you're that case, please refrain from doing anything that the phrase "hold my beer and watch this" precedes).

I know all of that sounds jumbled up. Let me see if I can elaborate in an easier manner...

..nope. I can't dumb it down without sounding.. dumb.

So, let me just say this: If you're faced with a decision that will most certainly affect a key point in your life..and you find yourself in the pit of uncertainty. Go with your heart. That one, still, small voice in your head that tells you, "this is the way it's supposed to be."

Indeed, it may NOT turn out how you expected..and you may get bit in the process.. but in the end.. you've got to be happy. You've got to be able to sleep at night. And, as long as you've followed your heart..and can attest to the fact that you gave it your all.. there is nothing left to question. Nothing left to deliberate on.

..make sure it's the still, small voice.. not the erratic, deep, growl that you follow... I can't be responsible for what happens in that circumstance.
