S.O.S

Just thought I would pop in and say "hello."

I am in the process of remodeling and moving all at one time, so it's been crazy around my place for about a month now. I hate that I haven't been writing like I want to, but other things need to be done at the moment.

I promise to be back and blogging more regularly in a few weeks. Until then... Keep on keeping on!

Life's a garden. Dig it.

Love is a Verb

No. I'm not dead. I'm still here. But, who knows for how long!?

I've been a busy little bee lately. Trying to get some stuff done to the house and such...it's time consuming! Lots of cleaning. Lots of painting. Lots of complete overhauls. But, it's coming along nicely and I am very happy with our progress and the time I have to spend with amazing people in my life.

Talking to a friend of mine today, we came across the thought: If people would mind their business, and take care of what is going on in their life..they wouldn't have to think of ways to keep people in their life happy! What happens when we lose people? What is some of the first things that come into our mind?

..I should have... I wish I would have... I should have told them...

Why do we wait until time is GONE to make our decisions to actively love someone? I'm not talking just hugs and kisses and "I love you"s. I'm talking about a conscious effort to live and breathe love for someone. I'm not talking about going all "it rubs the lotion on the skin"... I'm talking about maintaining a constant line of communication with that person; the key being... Positive Reinforcement. I capitalized those two words because I wanted emphasis on them.

Remember when I asked you to keep a log of positive days and negative days? ...It's been a few weeks. What did you come up with? How many times did you actually let someone know that you had a wonderful day, just because you were able to live it?

Sometimes, the ones we love get just as much gratification of knowing that we are happy; as we do, actually BEING happy! It's a matter of communication. Just taking the time to tell that person a random thought. You know, it may not register to them for a while.. but it means a lot to know that you just took a moment to acknowledge them.

Don't Stop! What does it take, two seconds to write a sappy love note and leave it so they will find it? How many times do you go into a convienience store?.. Do you get you something? .. Do you get them something because you just thought about it? A friend of mine, one time called these little things: Sprinkles. The things in life that you don't have to have... but they just make life that much sweeter when you do. I want to be a sprinkle magnet. How 'bout you? I like sprinkles.
Sprinkles are gooooood.

Pondering

Thinking a little today. Wondering if there is an ultimate answer to any of the random, thwarted questions in life. Are we even supposed to know the answers?

I know that in situations in life, certain criteria must be met in order to complete a formulated plan. In those cases, answers may or may not be reached. In those cases, the answer comes as you embark on the journey that will ensue once you've made your decision. In this case? Things SUCK. In these cases, I've found that you must always go with your first instinct. It may not be the most logical choice.. or the easiest. But, first instincts are almost always right (unless you're drunk..in that case, please refrain from doing anything that the phrase "hold my beer and watch this" precedes).

I know all of that sounds jumbled up. Let me see if I can elaborate in an easier manner...
..

....um.

..nope. I can't dumb it down without sounding.. dumb.

So, let me just say this: If you're faced with a decision that will most certainly affect a key point in your life..and you find yourself in the pit of uncertainty. Go with your heart. That one, still, small voice in your head that tells you, "this is the way it's supposed to be."

Indeed, it may NOT turn out how you expected..and you may get bit in the process.. but in the end.. you've got to be happy. You've got to be able to sleep at night. And, as long as you've followed your heart..and can attest to the fact that you gave it your all.. there is nothing left to question. Nothing left to deliberate on.

..make sure it's the still, small voice.. not the erratic, deep, growl that you follow... I can't be responsible for what happens in that circumstance.

Of Men And Mouses

Anytime I think of Man/Mouse, my mind instantly resorts to the Tom & Jerry episode where Jerry's nephew, Nibbles, asks himself: "Are you a man, or a mouse? You are a Mouse!" This little dude was fierce. Ever thought about that? Ever thought about mice, or chihuahuas or other smaller entities that have practically no fear? They think they are the biggest, baddest things on the Planet! Kids are the same way (the small humans, not the baby goats).

What are we dealing with here? Is it the self deluded idea that they are the world's greatest ninjas? Is it optimism? Is it naivety? Or is it a subconscious need to self mutilate? Think about this little guy. Watch that cartoon! He doesn't care! Who has the problem with his "no fear" attitude? Uncle Jerry, that's who! Heck!..at one point, he even captivates Tom's disbelief for a moment. Tom can NOT figure out what this little kid mouse is doing; just marching up to him and calling "attack!"

The element of surprise is very useful in some situations. But, bravery should not be overlooked. Nibbles actually THINKS he has a chance to whoop Jerry's butt!
Yeah, maybe I'm bored.. I'm blogging about a Tom & Jerry cartoon... I'm picking apart a child's show. But.. I think there's something to be said for those smaller bad boys. The ones who have no fear, regardless of the reason (or maybe I just wanted a reason to post this cute picture).

Victim By Association

These are the most annoying people EVER. You all know who I'm talking about. The people that feel as if they have become a victim of a situation just because they know, or are associated with, the person who is actually dealing with the issue. They inch into a closer relationship with the actual victim during the course of the situation and develop a sense of attack by their own choice. What does this benefit/prove? Are things THAT easy for you in life? That you have to look around you and find situations that can assist you in losing sleep?

OH...the humor in the situation. Drama is one thing.. physical pain and suffering is another. Maybe one day you'll suffer from a case of sympathy hemorrhoids.

That's all I have to say about that!

And, FYI.. I have the Email notification thingy fixed. I think.

Watch where you put your wenis

What in the world is the deal with the elbow? I mean really. Let's talk about this.

I didn't, until recently, know that there was a name for the skin that covers the elbow. It's known as the "Wenis" (Insert laughter here). Well, how odd is this body part? You can't really feel it when something happens to it. You can pull that skin and twist it, bite it and contort it beyond reason. No pain.

Haul off and bump that bad boy on the corner of a desk and you'll know it (as well as everyone else around you). It's NOT funny, my friend. It's painful. Who named this the "funny" bone? Must have been a smart one! I mean, I get it.. it's the distal end of the Humerus bone.. so yes.. I understand. Humerus = Funny. Got it.
But dang it! That's not funny!
