Blog Challenge: Day 11

Day 11: A story about a past relationship.

Well, I have thought about this topic since I first read the Blog Challenge. I was trying to think of which story I wanted to tell; and I was completely lost for a while. I couldn't make up my mind. I'm still a bit lost, so as I'm writing this?.. my mind is still trying to concoct the perfect story.

With that said, let's just go with it!

Once upon a time, there was a girl. She was seven years younger than her closest sister, in age. So, she really didn't have a great relationship with her siblings. She was so much younger...she just didn't fit in with the teenage life. She had an awesome imagination and she kept herself busy with music, go-carts and family time. She was just a wee sapling at the time... she had friends, but no one to really be one on one with.
Until one glorious day, the girl became an Aunt (at the young age of 9). This amazing little life that was introduced to her became one of the greatest blessings to her. As time went on, and they both grew up, they became really close. She had finally found someone to do things with. To go places with. Her Nephew became her new best bud.
Years pass, time goes on, lives continue and people sometimes change to accommodate. But, one thing the girl knew was that she loved her nephew, dearly. There would be day after day when she wouldn't see him, or talk to him. She missed him. Luckily, the nephew was family oriented, and even though he grew older, he still felt the need to be close with family, and this made the girl very happy. You see, she looked at her nephew with so much pride, love and adoration.
To this day, they still share the random conversation or silly joke. But, they don't get to see each other as much as they did in the past. The girl misses him. But, she knows where to find him, and she knows that he is fine. The relationship they share is one in a million (or so she thinks). He knows that no matter what, she will always be there. And she knows the same.
They will continue to live, happily ever after.
The End.

Relationships are abundant in every aspect of life. Good, bad or ugly; they will continue to mark the paths of our life. We have a choice to make them worth it. To bring out the positive in every way possible. Blessings are sometimes disguised. The key to the reward is patience and faith that things will work out. Once you surrender, you will continue to reap defeat.
It's a choice....whether you believe it, or not.
